Our Staff - Dr. Stephen Baldwin
Dr. Baldwin was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Benedictine College in 1980 and received his Medical Degree with honors from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1984. His postgraduate training was performed at the University of Louisville, completing a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1988.
Dr. Baldwin joined the medical staff at Floyd Memorial Hospital in 1988. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and maintains an annual Board Recertification. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists.
Having delivered over 3,000 infants at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital, Dr. Baldwin looks forward to continuing his obstetrical practice as well as maintaining various interests in the gynecologic fields.
He has been active with the St. Elizabeth Home for Crisis Pregnancies, Medical Director of the Maternal and Child Health Clinic in Floyd County, and is a Clinical Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Baldwin has been a resident of Floyd County with his wife and three children. They also have five grandchildren. He enjoys walking with his wife, as well as other types of outdoor recreation.
