Our Staff - Dr. Jacqueline Riely
Jacqueline H. Riely, M.D., M.S.
Dr. Riely was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Sonoma County, California.
Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Notre Dame an she has a master’s degree in genetics from George Washington University. Dr. Riely attended medical school at Tulane University, graduating in 1997. In her final year at Tulane she received the Thomas A. Giddings Humanitarian Award for compassionate patient care. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health Sciences University in 2001. Dr. Riely has been a board certified Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2006 and maintains current recertification. She is also a Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Prior to her work as a physician, Dr. Riely worked as a biochemist in the pharmaceutical industry and as a researcher in the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. As part of her graduate studies, she also spent 14 months in the Sudan, in Eastern Africa, working on a malaria research project in conjunction with the University of Edinburgh and Khartoum University.
Dr. Riely is also a Clincal Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health with the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Dr. Riely’s husband, Frank, is a native of New Albany. They have three children. In addition to family activities, Dr. Riely enjoys running, travel and cooking.
