Gynecology - In-Office Procedures
In Office Procedures
Traditionally procedures in the office have included ultrasounds, treatment and evaluation of the cervix (colposcopy, cervical biopsy, cryo, and LEEP conization), treatment and evaluation of the endometrium (saline infusion sonogram, endometrial biopsy and polyp removal) and aspiration of breast cysts.
Some procedures previously performed at the hospital under general anesthesia are now able to be accomplished in the office. Endometrial ablation is now being performed in the office by the physicians at OB/GYN Associates of Southern Indiana with anesthesia supervised sedations significantly improving operative discomfort and post anesthesia side effects. We are accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities.
